The ministry of Brother Witness Lee has not only given me a deeper appreciation of the truths in the Bible, but has also caused me to have a subjective experience of the Lord Jesus. Through his ministry I am helped to see that the Lord is the life-giving Spirit (1 Cor 15:45b) who can supply me spiritually in all my circumstances, whether big or small.
The Bible tells us that the Lord is rich to all who call upon His name (Rom. 10:12). One of the spiritual practices which I have learned through Brother Witness Lee’s ministry is calling on the name of the Lord Jesus. By saying, ‘Oh Lord Jesus’ in a soft voice frequently in my daily life I am again and again reminded of bringing all my troubles to the Lord.
Quite often when I find myself in a traffic jam and the anxieties of being late for an appointment become overwhelming, I call on the name of the Lord from the depth of my being. After just a few minutes of calling, my annoyance is gone and my anxieties vanish. Even in the midst of a rush-hour gridlock I am not bothered by the environment but rejoice in the wonderful person of Jesus.
Through this kind of spiritual exercise, my Christian experience is enriched and my love toward the Lord increases day by day.
