The Books Service would like to present an upcoming ministry reading program called, Nourishment November. For the announcement video, please scroll down to the bottom of this page.
The burden behind this program comes from the speaking during the 2021 Memorial Day Conference concerning our need to be constituted with the truth. In Message 3, it was spoken that, “To be constituted with the truth is to have the intrinsic element of the divine revelation wrought into us to become our constituent, our intrinsic being, our organic constitution.” The following point said, “The solid truth that is constituted into us becomes in us a constant and long-term nourishment.”
If we are diligent to be constituted with the truth, the truth would become in us a constant and long-term nourishment! This would not only greatly bless every saint in his or her individual Christian life, but would also fulfill God’s intention in dispensing Christ with all His riches into His believers for the constitution of the Body of Christ.
With this burden in view, we will begin “Nourishment November,” a reading program open to all the saints, which would begin on November 1st and end on November 30th. This is an opportunity for us all to dive into the ministry corporately in a healthy and regular way, to allow the truth to nourish us and to become our very constitution. We encourage the saints to grab a spiritual companion and read the ministry together for the entirety of November. You may continue reading a ministry book you have already started or take this opportunity to begin something fresh with your companion.
The goal is to read 80 pages of ministry between November 1st to November 30th. If you read 80 pages of ministry, you will receive a $5 voucher redeemable for your next book sales purchase at the church in Berkeley. If you read 150 pages of ministry, you will receive a $10 voucher for your next book sales purchase. If you are uncertain how many pages you are reading because you are reading digitally, please ask a Books serving one to confirm the page count.
There is no required ministry book to read, but we do have some recommendations. These are:
The All-Inclusive Christ
The Glorious Church
The Economy of God
Enjoying Christ as the Word and the Spirit through Prayer
Messages Given to the Working Saints
Truth, Life, the Church, and the Gospel--The Four Great Pillars in the Lord's Recovery
1 & 2 Samuel and all of their footnotes in the Recovery Version Though this is not a ministry book, this would prepare us for the upcoming semi-annual training. Reading all of the verses and their footnotes counts as 97 pages.
