Dear saints,
The saints serving on the Books Service have recently finished reading Truth, Life, the Church, and the Gospel—The Four Great Pillars of the Lord's Recovery as part of our corporate ministry pursuit. After the 2021 Memorial Day Conference on knowing the truth, being absolute for the truth, and proclaiming the truth, we had a strong burden and desire to dive into the truth and be constituted with the truth.
One of the books that was highly recommended during the conference was the book referenced here: Truth, Life, the Church, and the Gospel—The Four Great Pillars of the Lord's Recovery. In this post, we would like to overflow to you some of our enjoyments!
As I was reading through this book with the other saints serving on book service, I was encouraged particularly by two pillars, truth and the gospel. I appreciated our need to know the truth thoroughly, which requires our studying and getting into the word and ministry to really be constituted and have a good understanding of all these different terms and truths. We have such a rich supply and we need to take advantage of it by studying diligently! Then, when we're filled and overflowing with this truth, and as a result, life, we will spontaneously speak to those around us. I appreciated also that there's no need to simplify the truth. We should preach the high gospel to our friends, all these wonderful aspects of the truth that we have received. If we're really filled with life and constitued, then surely those around us will receive it well and be saved. May this be an encouragement to all of us!

John 8:32 says, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” The truth is itself the gospel which we must speak to others. With respect to the truth, believers in today’s Christianity are spiritually starving. But not only do these ones need the truth, but even for us in the Lord’s recovery, we all need to be brought on to a higher level of knowing the truth. This truth as the gospel will set us free from all religion, all our naturalness, and all our old manner of life.
This book gives so many wonderful examples from brother Lee. One such example is in chapter 5. Do we know the difference between “Jesus” and “Christ” or the difference between “Redeemer” and “Savior”? Knowing the differences is not for a mere doctrinal understanding. If we know that “Jesus” means “Jehovah the Savior,” and that “Christ” means “God’s Anointed,” then our experience of our Lord Jesus Christ will deepen far beyond what we could imagine! The unsearchable riches of Christ would become ours to enjoy because there will be times when we need to experience the Lord Jesus as our Savior, to save us from every negative thing, and yet other distinct times when we need to experience Him as God’s Anointed, God’s sent One to accomplish God’s will. Without an adequate knowing of the truth, our experiences of Christ will be greatly limited.
So let us not, due to a lack of the truth, be defrauded of our prize, which is our enjoyment of Christ. Let us know the truth and speak the truth as the gospel! As brother Lee encourages us, let us not speak a shallow gospel of peace and prosperity to others, but instead speak the high gospel: the processed and consummated Triune God dispensing Himself into man to be man’s life and life supply. When others come to us bearing difficulties and problems, let us get out of our natural concept and instead speak how our Lord Jesus Christ is “Jehovah the Savior” and “God’s Anointed”! Others will be attracted by the riches found in God’s economy. They will be saved, we will be nourished, and the church will be built up.
