Nourishment November — Week 3 (Day 15 of 30)
November 15, 2021
Dear saint,
As we reach the halfway point of this month, we hope the past fourteen days have been refreshing, enlightening, and nourishing for all of the saints participating. However, we may also have been exposed in our weakness to maintain a regular and consistent reading of the ministry. Let us not be discouraged! In the book of Hebrews, the author repeatedly writes, “today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts” (3:7-8, 15; 4:7). God’s heart for us is not concerned with yesterday or tomorrow. Rather, His heart for us is concerned with today. By His prevailing and efficacious blood, it does not matter what happened yesterday, whether we followed our reading schedule or whether we had some failure. What matters is how we respond to Him today! “Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” Chapter 4 verse 2 tells us to mix the word heard—His voice and His speaking to us—with faith. By faith, let us receive mercy and find grace from our High Priest who is touched with the feeling of our weaknesses.
Enjoyments from the saints
Below are enjoyments from the saints during this past week. If you would like to submit your enjoyment or testimony for the saints’ encouragement, please email Philip Lee (philiplee260@gmail.com) or Jeff Ou (jeffou7@gmail.com) with your message and it will be included anonymously in the next email and blog post.
I’ve been really helped by my two Nourishment November companions. Every time we read, we send each other a text message stating how many pages we read that day. Lately I’ve been struggling to manage my time, and sometimes I feel too tired to read at the end of a long day. On those days, I am so encouraged by the texts my sisters send me. When I lack the strength and discipline to remain steadfast, their pursuit lifts me up and turns me freshly to the Lord. In our spirit, we can be enlivened to take the tortoise way, no matter how tired or discouraged we feel.
Ezekiel 36:26, “I will also give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.”
Praise the Lord for His working and operating in all the saints!
